About DSS Productions

More than a production company.

DSS Productions is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit media organization transforming critical social issues into powerful stories—and transforming film sets into places where young people can discover opportunity, develop real-world skills, and envision a future in media.

Filmmaker and Chaplain Darrell Smith began this journey with A Deeper Love in 2006. Twenty years later, DSS continues creating thought-provoking entertainment that connects domestic violence, human trafficking, bullying, youth development, and community impact.

“Teach young people that it is more powerful to shoot with a camera than with a gun.”
